Telos Grounding Noise Reducer

TELOS technical team analyzes audio equipment from a unique perspective. Every audio equipment uses a power transformer in order to operate at the correct internal voltage. Hence, each equipment is said to have the primary side and secondary side. The primary side is from the power receptacle, all the way to the input of the transformer. The secondary side is from the output of the transformer to the circuit board. The audio circuitry remains within the secondary side.

TELOS technical team proposes the use of CPU within the GNR to calculate and generate high precision Ground reference voltage. Grounding is achieved by connecting the audio equipment to the binding posts of TELOS GNR that carry the Ground reference voltage. By doing so, GNR is able to truly correct the Ground reference point for the equipment chassis, audio circuitry and the Ground connection.

Using the same analogy as a high precision digital clock, GNR generates low distortion Ground reference voltage, giving each equipment a consistent reference point. When the audio setup is operating on a singular Ground potential, the signal transmission becomes least impeded, avoiding any transmission loss due to polarity mismatch and bit error. Therefore, truly achieving the best transmission possible.

TELOS GNR Active Grounding Box comes with Ground cables of the same materials. Thus each equipment is having the same grounding impedance characteristics, this greatly reduces the likelihood of coloration.

Telos MINI Quantum Resonator

The latest sound tuning device from Telos Audio Design, incorporating the 6-core technologies of Telos Audio Design.

When you use Mini Q, you will experience our unprecedented technologies :

• Mini Q was born based on the trickled down technical know-how from our higher range product, QNR. The components were rearranged and optimized to produce an active phase compensation circuit that fits into a 5 cm by 2.5 cm board. From the in-house engineers' testing to our early beta testers' evaluation, we were able to conclude that the effectiveness of Mini Q is close to 70% of QNR.
• All the components of Mini Q, the top cover, fuse, male plug and all were run-in using our 0-100 KHz ultra wide bandwidth QBT run-in technologies. The ultra wide frequency sweep was aimed at maximizing the full potential of the components.
• Based on the "material resonance feedback" concept, we developed our best selling product, the protective cap, using precious metals of gold and platinum. The Mini Q's top cover was created by enlarging our second-generation RCA cap's design scale. The top cover was plated with Palladium, a precious metal that has been acknowledged to have sweet timbre quality, refinement and smooth tonal texture. The QBT run-in top cover was then connected to the ground pin to influence the "sounding" of the ground point in the audio system.
• Kanon DTDK-n50ex Digital Torque Driver was used to assemble the Mini Q. The servo-controlled high-precision screwdriver was able to apply closely matched torque force onto all screw-in points. Thus eliminating unnecessary structural stress that could compromise sound quality.
• The circuit board also went through 36 hours of -196 degree Celsius cryogenic treatment. This aims to reduce welding stress on the components by harmonizing the molecular distribution of the solder. Hence, allowing smoother operation of the SMD circuit.
• Telos Q, a proprietary insulating rubber made of far infrared material, was used throughout as circuit insulation. Other than ensuring safe insulation, the circuit board is continuously exposed to 280 cpm of far infrared emission that optimizes the work efficiency of the electronic components

Telos QBT-18 Ultra Bandwidth Fuse

Traditional "audiophile grade" fuses are normally made using different materials for electroplating the surface of the contact area. However, this method directly imposes coloration to the resulting sound.

When replacing fuses, long and tedious duration is required to fully break-in the fuse in order to get the fullest bandwidth. Unfortunately, most of the power consumption for the equipment out there rarely fully develop the full potential of the fuses.

The key criteria in run-in are signal bandwidth and electrical current. TELOS AUDIO DESIGN pioneered in delivering the industry the first technique that combines both high current and 0 – 50 KHz alternating current, to run-in fuses. This technique has been applied to German made industrial grade fuses, as each fuse that comes out from our factory is run-in using our TELOS QBT run-in machine for 18 hours. Not only that, each fuse will also go through 36 hours of cryogenic treatment, to further stabilize the crystal structure of the fuse conductor.

Telos Quantum Acoustics Diffuser

In the field of Quantum Mechanics, quantum electrodynamics describes the interaction between electromagnetic radiation and matter. According to Maxwell equations, with time varying, electric field generates a time varying magnetic field and vice versa.

Therefore, an oscillating electric field will produce a magnetic field oscillation, and an oscillating magnetic field will, in turn, produce an oscillating electric field. However, Telos's ingenuity lies in incorporating our expertise in making connector caps into the BNC terminator.  (Our previous BNC terminator was made with poorer materials, and the end barrel was just hollow and inferior in quality.)

Telos BNC Cap has been carefully designed to ensure proper isolation of live core and ground shielding. The grounding has been made from high purity solid copper and plated with a generous amount of gold.

Black Reference Series inherited all the technical knowhow from both the Golden Reference Series and the Platinum Signature Series. All the knowledge and experience from creating the Golden Reference Series and the Platinum Signature Series have been trickled down to develop the Black Reference Series.

The aim of this is to achieve a total price reduction of 50% from the Golden Reference Series, while providing no less than 80% of the performance from the Golden Reference Series. The design and outlookof the Black Reference Series fully conform to the design principles of Telos Audio Design.

The Black Reference Series is uncompromising in terms of materials and every cable is relentlessly handcrafted. The sound of the new Black Reference Series is well balanced, transparent and high in density throughout the extended frequency response. Gold Reference MKII

In the new Gold Reference MKII series, we have introduced many interesting technologies.

1. The all new Gold Reference MKII is equipped with Far Infrared Technology Far Infrared is an electromagnetic radiation of 4 – 400 micrometers wavelength;it is widely used in medical treatment as the wavelength is very close to human body's radiation wavelength.Far Infrared is a form of photon and does not carry any electrical charge. In particle physics, photon is an elementary particle which could influence other particles.

It was observed that shining a light on certain metals would lead to electric current in a circuit. Hypothetically, certain resonance frequency could be observed as quantum mechanics postulates that all particles exhibit both wave and particle properties.Under the Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, FTIR test, nano minerals exhibit specific absorption characteristics towards far infrared wavelength.

Therefore, we could derive that nano minerals possess far infrared "energy storage" capacity. With the addition of nano minerals into the cable making process, we could definitely equip our products with excellent far infrared characteristics (radiation rate greater than 0.8).

In the brand new Gold Reference MKII series, we at TELOS have innovatively mixed nano minerals into our insulation layers. Through strenuous testing, we have found the magic proportion of nano minerals to be added, making the "influence" all positive to us. As a result, we are able to improve the transmission efficiency through energy particle radiation, and from the resulting resonance characteristics, enhance the sound with elegant golden tones.

2. The all new Gold Reference MKII is made with new conductor configurations to meet the new generation of sound requirements.The individual conductor dimensions and configurations have been totally reengineered, this has increased the cross-sectional area from 4 mm2 in the previous generation to 5.2 mm2.By redistributing the conductors and braiding ratio, the highs becomes even more refined and fluid. At the same time, elevating the richness in the mids and further extending the lows.

3. The all new Gold Reference MKII comes with the latest gold plated resonance control sound enhancement ring.With the latest dimension recalculated from ground up, the weight distribution has been greatly improved.With the new ring, the golden tonality unique to TELOS has been further enhanced. Thus, bringing cleaner textures, blacker background and more dimensional imaging.

4. Run in using specially designed TELOS OBT cable run-in machine.  The signal has been improved from the first generation of 20 Hz – 20 KHz to the latest 0 Hz – 50 KHz run-in bandwidth.  The run-in time has also been increased from 12 hours in the first generation to the current 24 hours.The moment the cables are plugged in, the brand new Gold Reference MKII is able to reach peak performance almost instantaneously.

Digital Cables

Computer as Source (CAS) has been the hot topic in town, and would undisputedly be the next big trend in audio.  Looking at how the market is flooded with USB digital cables, TELOS maintained its unwavering belief in elaborative research and design considerations. TELOS USB Cable utilizes 4 26 AWG UPOCC high purity single crystal copper cables as conductors. Dual layers of copper mesh are used to shield out unwanted interferences. With Teflon used as insulator and PVC as protective jacket, the cable is highly immune to minute vibrations.

TELOS USB Digital Cable is terminated with USB Type-A to Type-BIn terms of length, they are provided in either 0.6m, 1.2m, 2.4m, 3.6m or 4.8m.

Looking at the available products in the market today, there is almost no cable stand that is designed and made with high density materials.  Jeff was particularly concerned about the performance of these products.  The lighter materials used would not be very effective in controlling resonance within the cable that is supported.

Hence, Jeff of Telos Audio Design set out to design and make what Jeff believes to be the most ideal cable stand. Again, with a strong fundamental and unwavering belief in copper's resonance control properties, Jeff chose high purity solid copper block as the starting base for the design.
